Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Ensemble II

The Asheville High School Jazz Bands are dynamic ensembles that provide students with the opportunity to explore a variety of jazz styles, including swing, blues, Latin, and funk. Open to experienced musicians, the group focuses on improvisation, ensemble playing, and stylistic interpretation. The jazz bands performs at school concerts, community events, and regional festivals, showcasing the talent and versatility of its members. Students in the ensemble develop their musicianship through challenging repertoire, sectional rehearsals, and solo opportunities, making it an exciting and integral part of the Asheville High School Band Program. These ensembles meet during 5th period Monday, Wednesday and some Fridays.
