Volunteer with the Asheville Tourists

Volunteering with the Asheville Tourists is one of our most important fundraisers. All earnings go directly to the AHS Band Boosters and are credited to student band accounts.

Required before you can work a game

You must complete both of the following:

Game day details

Parking

Park at 161 S. Charlotte St. A shuttle is available, or you may walk (approximately 10 minutes).

Attire

  • White collared polo or AHS/ACS t-shirt
  • Khaki pants or shorts
  • Closed-toe shoes

Arrival times

  • Mon–Fri: Arrive by 4:30 PM
  • Saturday: Arrive by 3:30 PM
  • Sunday: Arrive by 11:00 AM

Some exceptions may apply.

Shift length

Shifts last 5–6 hours. Please be prepared to stay for the entire shift.

Check-in

Upon arrival, sign in with an AHS representative or Tyler (Concessions Manager) in front of Crash’s Kitchen.

Compensation

Each volunteer earns $100 per full game worked. Funds go to the AHS Band Boosters and are credited to student accounts.

Age requirements

  • 15-year-olds: Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • 16 and older: May work independently
  • Under 15: Not eligible to work

Contact information

Please provide accurate contact info, including a number that can receive texts. This is used for sending updates and your admission pass.

Sign-up guidelines

Most games have 10–12 volunteer spots. Do not add your name if the list is full. You may add your name to the waitlist.

If you cannot attend

Remove your name from the list as soon as possible. The concessions manager depends on accurate volunteer numbers.

No call / no text / no show policy

If you do not show up, do not communicate, or cancel within 48 hours, you will be removed from the volunteer spreadsheet for the remainder of the season.
