Concert Bands

Fall 9th Grade Concert Band

This ensemble, scheduled during the 4th period, is designed to help freshmen build a strong foundation in both marching and concert band skills. In the first few weeks, students focus on marching fundamentals, stand tunes, and pre-game music. For the remainder of the fall semester, they transition to concert repertoire at Levels III-IV, culminating in at least one performance.

Symphonic Winds

All 10-12th Graders are in Symphonic Winds. From this group there is also 2 smaller concert bands that are formed: Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony. 

Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band performs music in Grades III-V and performs in 4 home concerts a year in addition to MPA and other Regional Concert Festivals. This ensemble is made up for 10th-12th graders with 9th graders pulled for instrumentation needs. 

Wind Symphony

Wind Symphony performs music in Grades III-VI  and performs in 4 home concerts a year in addition to MPA and other Regional Concert Festivals. This ensemble is made up for 10th-12th graders with 9th graders pulled for instrumentation needs. Mastery of 11-12 Honors Band Scales, and the ability to successfully audition for the Western District All District Band are requirements for this ensemble.
